Sometimes you gotta jump into the frying pan to cook up the jam! That has been the mantra for the electronic duo Spam ‘n’ Funk a.k.a. Singer/lyricist Frankie McCoy and Producer/DJ Jose Olivares. “Upon meeting we made our first song on the spot… so a collaboration was a seriously obvious obligation,” says Ms. McCoy, whose credits include a no. 1 Billboard world hit. Both have an infinitive love for old school funk and soul and a shared background in electronica, it was the likely outcome to combine the two genres which gave birth to the dynamic duo’s sound.
